Officer Ribeiro died of a heart attack. Officer Ribeiro responded to a fight between two inmates. The fight was broken up and the inmates were taken to the Health Services Unit (HSU) for examination. Officer Ribeiro escorted one of the two fighters to HSU. When Officer Ribeiro reached the HSU with the inmate he suddenly collapsed.
